Is the Jordan Pass Worth It in 2026? A Real Cost Breakdown
Is the Jordan Pass worth it in 2026? We do the maths on the visa waiver, Petra entry, and 40 + sites , with three real itineraries to help you decide.
The Jordan Pass is a pre-paid bundle that covers your tourist visa on arrival and entry to more than 40 sites, including Petra. In 2026 there are three tiers , Wanderer (1-day Petra, 70 JD), Explorer (2-day Petra, 75 JD) and Expert (3-day Petra, 80 JD).
The maths
Just the visa and a single day in Petra is already 90 JD. The cheapest Jordan Pass (70 JD) saves you 20 JD before you've visited anything else.
- Tourist visa on arrival: 40 JD
- 1-day Petra entry: 50 JD
- Wadi Rum entry: 5 JD
- Jerash entry: 10 JD
- Citadel + Roman Theatre Amman: 4 JD
When the Jordan Pass is NOT worth it
You must stay at least 3 nights in Jordan for the visa-waiver part to apply (a Border Police rule, not a sales rule). If you're on a 24-hour stopover from Palestine, buy the visa and Petra ticket separately.
How to buy it
Buy directly at jordanpass.jo, print the QR code (or save it offline on your phone , Queen Alia airport Wi-Fi is unreliable) and show it at passport control. Done.
